Cincinnati-based sports tech company LunchTable.ai is set to open a second office in Houston this July after securing $2.4 million in seed funding. This expansion follows the company’s selection for DivInc Houston’s Spring 2024 SportsTech Accelerator. The new Houston office will be located at Mercury’s space on Buffalo Speedway, a hub for sports technology innovation.
LunchTable.ai, founded by Joshua Reid, aims to transform casual fans into active brand ambassadors for their favorite sports teams by engaging them with automated content and reward-based systems. Already piloting with the Cincinnati Reds and FC Cincinnati, the company aims to sign 20 teams by March 2025.
The move to Houston is seen as a signal of the city’s growing potential in sports technology, with local advocates pointing to the concentration of current and former athletes as a key factor for growth.
